Dayne Filer, MD, PhD is a Resident Physician at Duke University Hospital and an Adjunct Research Scientist at Renaissance Computing Institute. Filer completed a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked as an ORISE Fellow at the US Environmental Protection Agency.

RENCI partners with researchers, policy makers, and technology leaders to engage and solve the challenging problems that affect North Carolina, our nation, and the world. An institute of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, RENCI was launched in 2004 as a collaborative effort involving UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, and North Carolina State University.
