Gaurav Vaidya is a Semantic Web Technologist at Renaissance Computing Institute. Prior to this role, Gaurav worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Florida Museum of Natural History, focusing on the Phyloreferencing project. Gaurav has a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and has a background in Biology, Computational Science, and Economics.

RENCI partners with researchers, policy makers, and technology leaders to engage and solve the challenging problems that affect North Carolina, our nation, and the world. An institute of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, RENCI was launched in 2004 as a collaborative effort involving UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, and North Carolina State University.
