Amanda Novak

Amanda Novak is a skilled Data Scientist with experience at RES since July 2022 and previously served as a Data Science Associate at SAIC, contributing to the Engineering Innovation Factory. An alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, Amanda graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, along with minors in Computer Science and Mathematics. During academic studies, Amanda worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, applying machine learning techniques for atmospheric forecasts and designing algorithms for wind field reconstruction. Amanda's early career included a Student Meteorologist Internship at the NOAA Radar Operations Center and recognition as an Ernest F. Hollings Scholar, where research focused on radar characteristics and thermodynamic environments in relation to severe weather events.
