Iona Blair

Iona Blair has a diverse work experience in various companies. Iona started their career at GKN Aerospace as a Stress Engineer, where they ran simulations and carried out hand calculations to verify components. After that, they joined Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK as an Assembly Engineer, completing a graduate scheme that involved on-the-job training and mentoring.

Iona then moved to RES Group as a Wind Resource Analyst, where they performed wind resource analysis predictions and managed the budget for the analysis process. Later, they joined SgurrEnergy as a Renewable Energy Consultant, where they performed energy yield and wind regime analysis for wind farms and handled project management tasks.

Currently, Iona works at RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) as a Senior Technical Analyst. Iona has also held the roles of Project Technical Analyst (Secondment) and Technical Analyst at the same company. In these roles, they conducted site suitability and performance assessments for new and existing sites, prepared data for climatic conditions reports, and designed layouts for all design phases.

Iona's work experience shows their expertise in renewable energy, technical analysis, project management, and engineering.

Iona Blair completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow from 2002 to 2007. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Renewable Energy Engineering at Heriot-Watt University from 2011 to 2012.
