Chao Yang

Chao Yang is a Laboratory Manager at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since January 2023. Previously, Chao held the position of Business Development Specialist at MSE Supplies LLC from January 2022 to January 2023, focusing on market research, supplier management, and product launching within materials science. Chao served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University from January 2020 to January 2022, contributing to two US-DOE funded projects and delivering lectures on molecular dynamic simulation. Earlier experience includes a Laboratory Assistant role at the National State Key Laboratory for Powder Metallurgy, where Chao assisted students and faculty with sample preparation and characterization from June 2014 to June 2016, and a Technician Intern position at Zigong Cemented Carbide Company in 2012. Chao holds a PhD in Materials Science from Dartmouth College, along with a Master of Engineering and Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from Central South University.
