R May Lee

R May Lee currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Institutional Impact at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a role initiated in April 2023, focusing on enhancing institutional effectiveness and developing new academic pathways. Prior to this position, May held various significant roles, including Adjunct Professor at RPI and Partner at THE SEELIG GROUP, LLC. At ShanghaiTech University, May was the inaugural Dean of the School of Entrepreneurship and Management, where a new curriculum connecting business with science and engineering was developed. Previous experience includes leading initiatives at NYU, including the establishment of NYU Shanghai, serving as a Senior Advisor for the Schwarzman Scholars program, and holding executive roles at Merrill Lynch and Fly Communications. R May Lee earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
