Sarah L. Niemann

Sarah L. Niemann is currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute since February 2023. Prior to this role, Niemann held various positions at the University of Chicago from September 2017 to February 2023, including Senior Associate Director of Research Development and the Social Sciences Research Center, where responsibilities included providing research support to faculty, overseeing the SSRC's operations, and managing events and training sessions. Additional roles at the University of Chicago included Associate Director and Senior Assistant Director, focusing on research development and administration. Niemann also held positions at the Booth School of Business, including Assistant Director of the Stigler Center, and has experience in project coordination from work with ITM, Inc., and an internship with the National Defense University. Niemann holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Skidmore College.
