John Stewart has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. John started their career in 2003 as a Technical Support Specialist at VAC Service Corporation, providing telephone support for PCs, Macs, and other devices. In 2005, they joined Time Warner Cable as a Level 3 Support Specialist, handling technical support calls for both residential and commercial subscribers.
In 2006, John formed their own S-Corporation, Point and Click Computing Inc, and served various clients as a System Administrator, managing Windows-based networks. John then joined Google as a Data Center Technician in 2008, responsible for hardware and software installations, scripting modifications, and equipment maintenance.
In the same year, John started working at Web.com as a System Administrator, handling tickets related to LDAP, IIS, DNS, qmail, SSL configuration, and databases. John was later promoted to a Systems Engineering role, where they focused on virtualization projects and training Systems Administrators.
Currently, John works at RentPath as the Lead Systems Engineer, overseeing a migration project of 1500 Virtual Machines from on-premises to cloud providers. John is responsible for scripting and provisioning automation using various technologies, and provides support and mentoring to the team.
John Stewart attended SUNY New Paltz from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
