Trevor Brown

Trevor Brown has extensive work experience in the software development industry. Trevor started their career at CityMind Group in 2010 as a Web Designer, where they designed and deployed numerous custom websites for various clients. In 2012, they joined Glide Interactive, Inc. as a Web Developer, developing and deploying web applications for clients. Trevor quickly gained expertise in Ruby and contributed to the development of Rails applications. In 2013, Trevor joined Voalte, Inc. as an Erlang/Ruby Developer, working in the research and development department. Trevor utilized their existing experience in Ruby and JavaScript to design and build prototypes while learning functional programming. Additionally, they learned and implemented Erlang and Elixir to architect and build prototypes for hospital electronic health record middleware components. Most recently, Trevor worked at Rent. as a Software Engineer, starting in 2018 and later being promoted to Senior Software Engineer in June 2020.

Trevor Brown completed their high school education in 2009, graduating from the Brown Family Academy which followed a homeschooling program. Trevor earned their high school degree from this institution. In April 2017, Trevor obtained a certification in Concurrent Programming in Erlang from the University of Kent.
