Andrea Rutan is a skilled professional in youth engagement and music education with extensive experience in program development and volunteer mobilization. Currently serving as the Associate Youth Engagement Manager at Rescue | The Behavior Change Agency since July 2019, Andrea develops strategies to enhance program engagement and supervises the youth engagement team. Previously, Andrea held the position of Youth Field Organizer, where responsibilities included recruiting and training volunteers for advocacy campaigns. Andrea's background in music education includes serving as the Lead Teaching Artist at the New Mexico Philharmonic Foundation, where leadership was provided for the Young Musician’s Initiative, and as a Violin/Viola Teacher at The New Mexico School of Music, focusing on students with autism and early childhood education. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in String Pedagogy and a Master of Arts in Music Teacher Education from The University of New Mexico, along with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Viola Performance from The University of Memphis.
