David Spiro

Vice President- Food Security, Agriculture, Environment, Water & Governance At RTI International at Research Triangle Institute

David Spiro has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. David began their career in 2003 at Helen Keller International, where they served as Program Director for the Opportunities for Vulnerable Children Program. David later became the Program Director for Education and Eye Care before taking on the position of Country Director in Nepal. In 2011, David joined RTI International as the Country Director for Indonesia. David then held positions of increasing responsibility within the organization, including Director of the Asia Regional Office, Director of International Strategy and Initiatives - Asia, and Senior Director of Learning, Energy and Environment for Development (LEED). Currently, they serve as the Vice President for Food Security, Agriculture, Environment, and Water at RTI International.

David Spiro earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Colby College, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, attending from 2010 to 2011.
