Glen Szczypka is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in the intersection of media and public health. As the Social Media Listening Lead at RTI International since January 2021, Glen focuses on analyzing complex human behaviors related to health topics using various social media tools. Prior to this role, Glen served as Principal Research Scientist at NORC at the University of Chicago, evaluating public health media campaigns and utilizing Nielsen television ratings for health-related advertising analysis. Glen also held the position of Deputy Director at the Health Media Collaboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago for over 16 years, where responsibilities included strategic planning, operations management, and data acquisition in health media research. Glen's foundational experience began as a Research Associate at PHR Environmental Consultants, conducting field research and historical data analysis. Glen holds a Master of Arts in Health and Media from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from Northern Illinois University.
