Helen Pan is a seasoned professional in clinical and genomics data management with extensive experience in analysis, curation, harmonization, and standardization of data. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at RTI International since October 2005, Helen has honed expertise in common data elements. Prior to that, Helen was a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at North Carolina State University, focusing on the genome and microarray analysis of rice chromosome 10 and the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe grisea. Earlier roles include Group Leader - DNA Sequencing at Paradigm Genetics, where Helen led genome analysis of plants and fungi, and Assistant Director in Research at the Advanced Center for Genome Technology, University of Oklahoma, concentrating on human and mouse genome sequencing. Helen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma, obtained between 1991 and 1996.
