Peter O'Brien's work experience begins in 1997 as an Automation Engineer at GEA. Peter then worked as a Software Developer at FINEOS from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 to 2007, they were a Senior Software Developer at Ark Life. After that, they worked as a Contract Software Developer at AIG from 2007 to 2008 and at Aviva from 2008 to 2011. Peter joined iasset.com in 2010 as a Senior Technical Team Lead and later became a Software Development Manager. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at iasset.com as a Senior Technical Team Lead and then as a Software Development Manager. In 2017, they became a Software Development Manager at Lionbridge and held the position until 2017. In 2018, they joined Genea as the Head of Engineering and also worked as a Software Development Manager for a brief period. Peter then worked as a Solutions Architect at Chalfont Consulting from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering at Respax Tour Management Software.
Peter O'Brien received their education in the field of electrical and electronic engineering. Peter first attended Technological University Dublin from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Peter further pursued their studies at Technological University Dublin from 1995 to 1997, earning a 2.1 Honours Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. In addition to their academic qualifications, Peter O'Brien has obtained certifications in TOGAF 9 (9.2) Foundation from The Open Group in 2023, as well as certifications in Agile Software Development and Enterprise Architecture Foundations from LinkedIn in 2022.
