Chris Spiteri has extensive experience in financial management and forensic accounting, with a current role as Manager Employer Regulation Premium at ReturnToWorkSA since February 2016. Chris oversees a team dedicated to maintaining scheme integrity by ensuring employer compliance with registration and premium obligations. Previous roles include Manager Employer Regulation and Enforcement, Manager Premium Audit & Investigations, and Senior Forensic Accountant, focusing on premium audits, investigations, and combating fraud. Prior to ReturnToWorkSA, Chris held positions as Forensic Accountant at SAPOL and ASIC, Insolvency Manager at Ferrier Hodgson, and various accounting roles at SimsPartners and Bruce Mulvaney & Co. Chris holds a Bachelor of Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide, and completed the Governor's Leadership Foundation Program at the Leaders Institute of South Australia, along with the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand CA Program and training from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

At ReturnToWorkSA, our purpose is to empower and support South Australians impacted by work injury. Our services and those delivered by our claims agents are designed to provide early intervention support to workers and employers following a work injury to ensure the worker can recover and return to work as quickly as possible. ReturnToWorkSA has replaced WorkCoverSA and we are responsible for implementing and managing the Return to Work scheme. We are a statutory authority set up under the Return to Work Corporation of South Australia Act 1994 to administer the Return to Work Act 2014.
