Daniel Zhu has over 15 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel is currently self-employed as a Director since July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Leading Edge NZ from January 2017 onwards. Before that, they were a Communication Specialist at Spark New Zealand from October 2013 to December 2016. Daniel also has experience as the Head of Concierge at The Sentinel from April 2008 to May 2013, as a Concierge at The Stamford Plaza Hotel from October 2006 to March 2008, and in housekeeping at Carlton Hotel Auckland from January 2005 to February 2006.

Daniel Zhu began their education at Kelston Boys High School in 2003, where they obtained their High School diploma in 2004. Daniel then attended NSIA from 2004 to 2006, earning an Associate's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Management. Continuing their education, they enrolled at Massey University in 2011, completing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Marketing in 2013. Daniel further pursued higher education at Massey University and earned a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree in Marketing in 2014.
