Before that, they served as the Sr. Manager of Antennas and Regulatory Engineering at Novatel Wireless from April 2005 to May 2010. John's earlier professional roles include being a Sr. Staff Antenna Engineer at Ethertronics Inc., an Antenna Manager at Etenna, and an Engineering Manager at IMS Connector Systems. John started their career at Ericsson as a Staff Antenna Engineer from August 1995 to August 1998. Overall, John Spall has accumulated extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of hardware development and operations throughout their career.

John Spall attended Virginia Tech from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. John later pursued further education at the same institution from 1991 to 1995, completing graduate work in Electrical Engineering.
