Damien Dowling has a strong background in engineering, particularly in electrical and vehicle systems. Damien started their career at GM Holden in 2003, where they worked as a Specialist Engineer in V8 Engine Management systems. In 2006, they became a Product Development Manager, specializing in Vehicle Systems Engineering, and held this position until 2014. In 2015, Damien joined Rheinmetall-MAN Military Vehicles Australia as a Systems Engineer, focusing on electrical systems. Damien recently transitioned to Rheinmetall in 2023, taking on the role of Principal Engineer in Electrical and C4I.
Damien Dowling attended La Trobe University from 1994 to 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electronics (Biomedical).
