David Zhang

David Zhang has a strong background in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on engineering and marketing roles. David began their career at Motorola Australia in 1995 as a Senior Manager of System Engineering, where they stayed until 2000. From 2000 to 2010, they worked at Nortel Networks as a Product & Solution Marketing Manager. In 2010, they joined Genband as a Sr Product and Marketing Manager, initially in the Asia Pacific region and then in a broader role. In 2018, they joined Ribbon Communications as the Director of Engineering, Asia-Pacific. Throughout their career, David has gained extensive experience in product development, marketing, and management in the telecommunications industry.

David Zhang obtained their Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, which they attended from 1984 to 1987. David then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Digital Radio - Coding and Modulation at Leibniz Universität Hannover from 1988 to 1991.
