Susan MacDermid

Susan MacDermid is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in digital transformation and strategic business development. As the Founder and CEO of Ascendant Network since January 2014, Susan leads exclusive C-level communities focused on advancement in digital commerce. Additionally, Susan serves as a Board Advisor at Glasswing Ventures, contributing to AI and technology investments. Previously, Susan held the position of President of the Digital Marketing Division at dmg events, where revenue and profitability significantly improved, and served as SVP and Executive Committee Member at Real Branding, focusing on digital strategies informed by consumer insights. Earlier in Susan's career, as Chief Mobile Officer at Ecrio, a global go-to-market strategy for mobile advertising solutions was developed. Susan holds a Ph.D. Fellow from Keio University and an MA in History from The University of British Columbia.
