Sam Shaffer

Sam Shaffer is an experienced mechanical engineer specializing in product development, particularly in the bicycle industry. Currently serving as a Bicycle Product Development Engineer III at FOX Factory since August 2018, Sam has previously held roles such as Bicycle Product Development Engineer II and Mechanical Engineer at Vista Outdoor Inc., where responsibilities included mechanical design, testing and certification of helmets, and R&D of new materials. Additionally, Sam has experience as a Product Development Engineer at Applied Medical and as an intern in helmet design and quality assurance roles. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, earned between 2008 and 2013.
