Dongmei Hu has a wide range of work experience in various roles and industries. Dongmei began their career as a Business Analyst Intern at Apple Inc. in 2010. Dongmei then worked as a Consultant (Project Management and Research) Intern at clickTRUE Pte Ltd in 2012. In the same year, they joined Arup Singapore Pte Ltd as an Electrical Engineer and Consultant. Dongmei then worked at Virtusa as a UX/UI Designer from 2016 to 2018. Dongmei then joined Yara International, where they held roles as a Senior UX Designer and later as a Product Owner, Lead for China. Dongmei's most recent position is as a Product Manager at Neuron Mobility, starting in 2022.

Dongmei Hu attended the National University of Singapore from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition to their degree, they have completed several certification courses. In December 2021, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum.org. In December 2015, they received a certification in User Experience: Research & Prototyping from Coursera Course Certificates. Furthermore, in February 2016, they completed the Interaction Design Fundamentals course from Lynda.com, followed by the Applied Interaction Design course from the same institution in January 2016.
