Karen O'Sullivan

Karen O'Sullivan has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and development. Karen started their career as an Application Developer for the Queensland Police Service, where they worked with .Net and SQL Server applications. Karen then moved on to MaxSoft as a .Net Developer, primarily focusing on the development of a financial system for payroll donations to charities.

Karen then joined Austar as a Senior Software Analyst and Developer, where they were involved in the analysis, design, and development of customer-facing and business applications. Karen also provided support for existing applications and assisted with solution implementation. After Austar was acquired by Foxtel, Karen continued their role as a Senior Analyst Programmer, contributing to the development and maintenance of core business applications.

Karen then transitioned to Ardent Leisure Group as a Senior Software Developer, working on .Net web applications for companies in the group. Karen also took on a Dev Lead role for various projects. Following this, Karen joined Feros Care as an IT Developer on a fixed-term contract, where they established processes for a new in-house development team and developed a core system for managing client services.

Currently, Karen is working as a Senior Software Engineer at RightCrowd Software. Throughout their work experience, they have demonstrated proficiency in a range of technologies, including ASP.Net, WCF, iOS/iPhone, Javascript, and MOSS. Karen has also worked with both Scrum and Waterfall methodologies in project management.

Karen O'Sullivan completed their Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Management from Griffith University from 1989 to 1991. Karen further pursued their education and obtained a Masters of Information Technology from Griffith University from 2000 to 2001, specializing in Information Technology.
