Lukas Gähwiler

Lukas Gähwiler was appointed Chairman UBS Switzerland per September 2016. Before he served a more than six year tenure as member of the Group Executive Board of UBS Group AG and President UBS Switzerland. In this role he was responsible for all businesses – Personal Banking, Wealth Management, Corporate and Institutional Clients, Investment Banking and Asset Management – in UBS's home market. Prior to this he served for twenty years in various leading positions at Credit Suisse in Switzerland and North America, thereof seven years as Chief Risk Officer for Corporate and Private Banking. Mr. Gähwiler earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences in St. Gallen. Furthermore he completed an MBA program in Corporate Finance at the International Bankers School in New York as well as the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
