Krste Asanovic

Chief Architect at RISC - V (Risk Five)

Krste Asanovic has a rich and diverse work experience spanning several renowned organizations. Krste is currently associated with RISC-V International as the Chief Architect and Chairman. At SiFive, they held roles as the SVP Global Engineering and Chief Architect. Prior to that, they were a Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, where they served as a Professor Emeritus, Professor of the Graduate School, and Professor. Before their tenure at Berkeley, they were an Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At the beginning of their career, they worked as a Research Engineer at GEC Hirst Research Centre.

Krste Asanovic earned a BA degree in Electrical and Information Sciences Tripos from the University of Cambridge between 1984 and 1987. Krste then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley from 1989 to 1998.
