Maria Leonido is an experienced community program professional with a strong background in community affairs and resource management. Currently serving as a Community Program Liaison at Rising Communities since July 2023, Maria previously held the role of Community Affairs Manager at Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County from December 2019 to May 2023. Prior experiences include positions such as Market Match Associate at HUNGER ACTION LOS ANGELES, Community School Coordinator at Youth Policy Institute, and Family Source Coordinator at Central City Neighborhood Partners. Maria's commitment to community service began with volunteer roles, including a Coastal Resource Management Volunteer with the Peace Corps and an Americorps-VISTA at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Maria holds a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Environmental Education and Agriculture from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
