Ali Irturk

Ali Irturk has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles. Ali'smost recent position was as the Vice President of Engineering at Rithum, where they oversaw the management of the company's connected commerce network. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Engineering at WorkBoard Inc., where they led a global team of engineers focused on innovation and scalability. Ali also had experience at ALICE Technologies Inc., where they served as an Advisor and later as the Vice President of Engineering. During their time at ALICE Technologies, they focused on expanding the engineering team, developing new features, and implementing agile practices. Before that, Ali worked at Cognex Corporation, a leading provider of vision systems, as a Senior Engineering Group Manager and Engineering Manager. Ali also held the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of California, San Diego, where they collaborated on research projects and mentored students. Ali's earlier work experience includes serving as a Research Professor & Lecturer at UC San Diego, where they advised graduate students and taught various courses in robotics and computer systems.

Ali Irturk has a diverse educational background. Ali holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Ali also has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Engineering from UC San Diego. Additionally, they have an M.A. and M.S. in Economics and Electrical and Computer Engineering, respectively, from UC Santa Barbara. Ali obtained a B.S. and Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Naval Profession from the Turkish Naval Academy. Ali also attended the Turkish Naval High School. In terms of certifications, Ali is a Certified OKR Coach, specializing in OKRs, alignment, and measurement, which they obtained in 2020 from WorkBoard Inc.
