Grant Sloman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Grant started their career in 1996 at BT Trading Systems, where they worked in various roles including hardware engineering and software development. Grant eventually became the Head of Turret Software Development, leading a team of 8 developers. During their time at BT, Grant was responsible for the support and ongoing development of the hardware turrets on BT's proprietary SIP voice trading platform. Grant was also involved in the design and delivery of an integration solution for BT's Netrix turret with IP Trade's SIP backend.
In 2000, Grant briefly worked at Garden Internet, a small internet start-up, as the Head of IT. Grant led a small IT team and was responsible for website development and internal systems.
In 2013, Grant joined BT again as a Project Lead for the Netrix HiTouch UI. Grant was responsible for evaluating and choosing the most suitable GUI stack and worked closely with a 3rd-party product/graphics design company on UI proposals and implementation.
In 2020, Grant joined Violet as the CTO. Further information about their role at Violet is not provided.
Grant Sloman attended the University of Nottingham from 1991 to 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
