Dan Mapp has extensive work experience in finance and management roles. Dan began their career as a Graduate Trainee at Marks and Spencer in 1998 and held various positions such as Finance Analyst, Finance Manager, and Head of Retail Costs & Staffing. In 2011, they became the Head of Finance for Clothing at Marks and Spencer. From 2013 to 2014, they served as Head of Finance for Europe & Middle East, and from 2015 to 2016, they held the position of Head of International Financial Control at Marks and Spencer. In 2016, they joined River Island as Head of FP&A and later became the Head of Commercial Finance & FP&A. In both roles, they played a crucial role in establishing the finance function and contributed to strategy development.
Dan Mapp earned a BSc degree in Geography from the University of Bristol between 1995 and 1998. Prior to attending university, Dan studied A Levels in Geography, Psychology, and History at Countesthorpe College, although the start and end years for this education period are not provided.
In terms of additional certifications, Dan obtained an FCMA certification from CIMA in January 2004.
