Michael Knoop currently serves as Vice President of Landowner Engagement at Bosland Growth since June 2024. Michael's extensive experience in land conservation and community engagement spans various leadership roles at the Riverside Center for Innovation, where Michael has been Board Chair and Board Member since 2009, and at The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy from September 2005 to May 2024, culminating in the position of Senior Director of Special Projects. Michael held several positions within the Conservancy, including Director of Special Projects and Land Protection and Planning Manager, where responsibilities involved managing relationships with landowners and implementing conservation initiatives. Earlier roles include Land Protection Specialist and Special Projects Coordinator at the Conservancy, as well as internships at the Community Technical Assistance Center and Cuyahoga Valley Countryside Conservancy. Michael Knoop holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The College of Wooster and furthered studies at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.

Riverside Center for Innovation (RCI), established as the North Side Industrial Development Company in 1983 and now doing business as Riverside Center for Innovation, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in the City of Pittsburgh’s North Side.
