James Ryan

James Ryan, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology leadership, data science, and academia. Currently serving as Partner and Head of AI, ML, and Data Practice at Riviera Partners since September 2023, James previously held significant roles at Erevena as Partner, European CTO Practice Lead, and Global Data Science Practice Lead from March 2017 to July 2022. An independent scholar during a research sabbatical from August 2022 to August 2023, James has also contributed to King's College London as a Lecturer in Ancient History and in various research and teaching capacities from 2012 to 2019. Earlier career achievements include serving as General Manager in the F&B sector, where leadership extended across commercial, finance, operations, and HR. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Classics and multiple degrees in Ancient History from King's College London.
