Briony Lewis

Briony Lewis currently serves as the Executive Director of Governance, Legal & Strategic Operations at RMIT University, a position held since September 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing legal matters, governance, enterprise policy and compliance, contract management, and managing the university's privacy and FOI office. Briony has extensive legal expertise, having held various senior legal positions such as General Counsel and University Secretary at multiple organizations, including Penguin Random House, Pearson, and Redgroup Retail. In addition to legal roles, Briony is a Non Executive Director at Triple R Broadcasters Ltd and has experience as a freelance writer. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws from Monash University and a combined Law and Arts degree from the University of Melbourne, complemented by training from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
