Roam Robotics
Marc Goupil is a Robotics Engineer at Roam Robotics since August 2020, specializing in developing and testing control strategies for a wearable lower-limb robot, with an emphasis on energy-efficient actuation and user intent recognition. Previously, from November 2018 to December 2019, Marc served as a Graduate Student at Cal Poly Mechanical Engineering, where a Master's thesis centered on signal chain design for a flight data acquisition system for high-frequency pressure measurements was completed. Prior experience includes the role of Lead Designer at AxonVR from January 2015 to June 2018, where Marc led the creation of two generations of wearable haptic feedback gloves and managed design timelines and communication with engineering directors. Marc holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
