Julia Boas currently serves as the Director of Talent Strategies at the Roanoke Regional Partnership, focusing on enhancing the region's ability to attract and retain talent. Prior to this role, Boas held various positions including Marketing Director at Highwater Management Co. and Director of Marketing at the Roanoke Regional Partnership. With extensive experience in event management and marketing, Boas has successfully overseen large-scale events for the Roanoke Outside Foundation, including the Blue Ridge Marathon and the Go Outside Festival, while effectively managing budgets and fostering community relations. Boas holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina.

Since 1983, the Roanoke Regional Partnership's mission is to lead the region in economic development. As a leader in strategizing, planning, and implementing regional economic development programs and policies, the partnership aims to strengthen and market the region's assets in order to achieve a rate of economic growth that provides excellent jobs while preserving the region's quality of life. We represent the counties of Alleghany, Botetourt, Franklin, and Roanoke; Roanoke, Covington, and Salem cities; and the Town of Vinton.
