ABOUT THE POSITION :

Our EMEA Sales Team is currently looking for a permanent Regional Sales Manager based in Germany to cover the North/East Germany (Niedersachsen, Thüringen, Bayern, etc ) and Austria territories. 

The Regional Sales Manager will be driving our company’s growth in the DACH territory and will be key for positioning our application solution and components in a high potential market. For this role, you will be successful in identifying and nurturing direct customer and distributor relationships while guiding customers through implementing our internationally renowned solutions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

You are the right fit for this role if you thrive on the challenge of being responsible and accountable for this Europe's area sales results based on your focus and achievements on the following cross responsibilities:

Territory Management:

  • Build and execute sales plans for the territory and each expert distributor;

  • Provide a reliable forecast of business for the territory;

  • Share information on accounts with the global Robotiq team by using the Robotiq CRM;

  • Build plans with distributor network to balance sales strategy for maximum efficiency in the region.

Partner Management:

  • Understand, evaluate distributors per Robotiq classifications (New, Promising and Expert) - work to develop distributors to expert level;

  • Define partner objectives and assess performance;

  • Monitor performance of each distributor and effect recovery actions where required;

  • Coach and develop expert partners to be highly independent and autonomous;

  • Perform frequent funnel opportunity reviews with partners;

  • Train and coach sales reps at our distributors so that they can sell our products effectively and efficiently;

  • Develop Robotiq mindshare and focus within our partner’s salesforce and technical teams;

  • Ensure distributor sales team have the resources to achieve their targets;

  • Work closely with cobot manufacturers  (i.e. UR);

  • Build strong relationships and awareness for Robotiq with our expert partners.

Customer Management:

  • Identify and penetrate customers and targets for direct relationships within the region;

  • Build and execute penetration plans for customers by working closely with business development and presales support functions;

  • Identify decision makers within accounts who hold specification authority for our products on a regional or global basis;

  • Develop strong relationships with decision makers and influencers at these accounts;

  • Generate new projects to guarantee continuous achievement of your regions targets;

  • Bring customers from interest to sales to repeat, through frequent follow-ups.

CANDIDATE PROFILE :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial or electrical) or related field, an asset;
  • Significant experience in technical solution sales, acquired in both direct and channel sales;
  • Highly motivated self-starter (entrepreneurial skillset) with ownership and accountability of results;
  • Professional but confident demeanor;
  • Enthusiastic and creative team player with inspiring leadership skills;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, CRM Software, ERP, Software, Automation and Robotics technology - e.g. UR Caps, Polyscope, etc.
  • Languages : German and English complete professional proficiency and capacity to adapt to targeted audience.
  • Available for travel up to 75% of your time within the designated area (very frequent), to our France (Lyon) facility (quarterly) or HQ in Canada (occasionnally) for team regroups - Ensure possession of a valid passport and driving license.
