Michael Walker II

Michael Walker II currently serves as Cyber Security Manager at Rocket Lab since August 2023, bringing extensive experience in information security and IT management. Previously, Michael held the position of Manager for IT Infrastructure and Information Security at Virgin Orbit from June 2018 to June 2023, where critical infrastructure projects were managed, and a team of six IT engineers was led to enhance mission success. Prior to that, Michael worked at SpaceX from May 2008 to June 2018 as an Information Security Engineer, developing policies, securing network connections, and ensuring compliance with government data classification requirements. Additionally, Michael managed the IT Services team at SpaceX, building a successful help desk team and fostering a culture of growth and advancement.
