Silas Meriam is a highly experienced aerospace engineer, currently serving as the Lead Fluid Systems Engineer for Rocket Lab's Neutron project since October 2023, after their role as Senior Fluid Systems Engineer on the same project. Prior to Rocket Lab, Silas worked at Ursa Major for four years, enhancing test engineering processes and developing tools for fluid systems, while also fulfilling responsibilities as Senior Test Operations & Ground Systems Engineer and Test Engineer. Silas's professional journey includes roles at Purdue University as a Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant, along with internships at Virgin Orbit, Rolls-Royce, and Virgin Galactic, contributing to various propulsion and testing projects. Silas earned a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University.
