Kannan Shanmugam

Kannan Shanmugam is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering roles. Currently serving as an Engineer and Founding Member at Rocketlane since May 2020, Kannan previously contributed as an Engineer at Freshworks from August 2015 to May 2020, where involvement centered on building platform services for messaging across various channels. Prior to this, Kannan was a Software Engineer at Frilp (Turing Research Labs) from April 2014 to August 2015, and an early member of the acquisition team. Kannan's career began at Aricent Group as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2012 to April 2014, where project work included developing an ETL service for Alcatel Lucent. Kannan's journey commenced at Tata Consultancy Services from September 2009 to January 2012, contributing to the SawGrass web application for customer account information. Educational credentials include a Master of Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
