Rocketown
Rocketown, founded by Christian Music artist Michael W. Smith, is a drop-in “student center” located in the heart of downtown Nashville to reach at-risk teens. It is a safe place where young people can find peace, purpose and possibilities away from the influence of gangs and drugs. It is a place for teens to be themselves and come to know the love of Christ, without the judgement or shaming often experienced in traditional ministry settings. Teens are attracted to the free recording studios, skatepark, coffee bar, music venue, block parties, raves, talent shows and more. What they discover is positive adult mentors, free mental health services, volunteer opportunities, nutritious meals and a caring staff to help to them thrive in today’s culture. Rocketown is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated shaping futures and changing lives of teens
