Chasiti McKissic

Chasiti McKissic, M.Ed. M.A.T, serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the DeSoto Independent School District and as the Regional Director of Operations for Rocketship Public Schools. With extensive experience in educational leadership, McKissic previously held several roles within the DeSoto Independent School District, including Executive Director of Core Curriculum & Grants and Director of Strategic School Support, among others. Prior experience includes positions as Assistant Principal and Intervention Specialist at Lancaster ISD. McKissic began a career in education after working as a Career Service Representative at Sanford Brown College, where responsibilities included assisting students with career placement and conducting job readiness seminars. McKissic holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Texas, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Texas Woman's University, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston.
