Zakiya Sackor

Zakiya Sackor is an experienced educational leader and consultant currently serving as the Interim Executive Director at Rocketship Public Schools since June 2024. As the Founder of KORE Consulting, which has operated since March 2016, Zakiya focuses on helping non-profit leaders enhance their operational effectiveness. Previous roles include Executive Director at Kindred, where Zakiya facilitated community engagement for systemic change, and Managing Director of Networks at Leading Educators. Zakiya has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Instructor at American University and held key leadership positions in organizations such as The Aspen Institute and Flamboyan Foundation. Zakiya's educational background includes multiple master's degrees and a certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University.
