Eileen MacAvery

Eileen MacAvery is an accomplished educator and graphic designer with extensive experience in academia and the design industry. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Rockland Community College since September 2019, Eileen has also held positions as an Assistant Professor and Adjunct Professor at SUNY Westchester since 1998. Previously, Eileen was a Graphic Design Instructor at SUNY Rockland Community College from 2014 to 2019, where responsibilities included directing the Graphic Design and Computer Graphics program. Eileen's teaching portfolio spans courses in graphic design, digital imaging, and art direction across multiple institutions, including The Art Institute of Pittsburgh and Berkeley College. Prior to academia, Eileen worked as an Art Director and Graphic Designer at Bear Brook Design for 15 years, providing creative solutions for high-profile clients such as ABC Television and Hallmark Channel. Eileen holds an MFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a BS in Graphic Design from Empire State College.
