Michael Tollison is an experienced educator and former insurance broker with a diverse background in teaching and ministry. Currently serving as a Math Teacher at Rockwall ISD since August 2020, Michael previously held positions as an Engineering Teacher at North Forney High School and a 7th Grade Math Teacher and Math Interventionist at Thompson Middle School. With a strong foundation in youth ministry, Michael has held various pastoral roles, including Middle School Student Pastor at First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs and Minister of Education and Youth at Main Street Baptist Church, where skills in leadership development, event organization, and educational program implementation were honed. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible Studies from Dallas Baptist University, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and an Associate of Applied Science in Mathematics from Grayson College.

Rockwall ISD is a Texas public school district serving more than 15,000 students in the Rockwall, Heath and Fate communities. We have two high schools, three middle schools, 14 elementary schools, one alternative academy and one CTE academy. Rockwall High School and Rockwall-Heath High School are both 5A schools with many award winning academic, vocational and athletic programs.
