Courtney Schoonover

Courtney Schoonover is an experienced educator currently serving as the Lead Reading Interventionist at Rocky Mountain Prep since June 2017. In this role, Courtney has successfully trained a team of 60 coworkers on best practices for data review and analysis, resulting in the implementation of a new curriculum. Courtney has also managed student records for over 100 stakeholders, completed over 200 hours of professional training, and developed remote training programs for over 95 students. Previously, Courtney worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Miami Dade County Public Schools from August 2014 to May 2017, where initiatives led to a $10,000 federally funded grant and a 30% increase in student scores. Courtney has a background as a Teach For America Corp Member, selected from 20,000 applicants to participate in a program focused on closing the educational achievement gap. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Penn State University, earned in 2014.
