Yan Gao

Yan Gao is a highly skilled professional in the field of machine learning and data science, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Roku Inc. since June 2020. As a tech lead specializing in algorithm design and model development, Yan has successfully led numerous projects focused on ad performance improvements, including demographic targeting, pacing optimization, and ad policy recommendation. Prior to Roku, Yan held roles as a Senior Data Scientist at Signifyd and as a Data Scientist Lead at China Rapid Finance, along with experience as a Data Science Fellow at The Data Incubator. Yan Gao holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Brown University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
