Nima Ameri is a seasoned professional in the field of data science and engineering, currently serving as the Data Science Research and Development Lead at Rolls-Royce since January 2013. With extensive experience in managing teams and leading Research & Technology projects involving machine learning, Nima has successfully aligned group KPIs with personal objectives while overseeing project budgets and collaborating with external contractors and university technology centers. Prior roles include Analytical Engineer-Data Scientist within the Civil Digital division, where Nima developed machine learning models and on-board configuration software, as well as Project Vibration Engineer, responsible for dynamic component testing and data analysis. Earlier career experience includes a Research Advisor position at the University of Bristol, leading projects in Operational Modal Analysis and contributing to the Morphing Aircraft project through development of advanced modeling tools. Nima holds a PhD in Methodologies for Preliminary Integrated Aeroservoelastic Design of Morphing Aircraft from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma.
