Or Cohen

Or Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. In 2005, they began their career as a Software Engineer in the Israel Defense Forces, where they eventually became a Product Owner and a Development Team Lead. During their time there, they managed a team, implemented agile methodologies, and worked on technical architecture and coding standards.

In 2007, Or joined the Hebrew Scouts Movement in Israel as a Senior Guide, coaching and mentoring various individuals. Or later became the Head of Education, leading a group of scouts and guiding a large number of children and seniors.

Or's next career move was in 2011 when they took on the role of Technical Product & Projects Lead for an undisclosed company. Or excelled in creating and scaling E-COM shops, had high skills in online marketing and customer-facing support, and also conducted data analysis and BI.

In 2021, Or joined Checkmarx as a Back End Developer and later transitioned into the role of Technical Project Lead. As a Technical Project Lead, they were responsible for leading onboarding for big customers, playing the role of security champion, and owning AppSec-related topics in the group's CxOne R&D implementation.

In 2023, Or will begin working as a Solutions Architect at Rookout.

Or Cohen obtained a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from The Open University of Israel, which they attended from 2016 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at The College of Management Academic Studies between 2007 and 2010. In 2009, Or attended IDF - Mamram for an Extensive Product design - six-month program, and in 2005-2006, they took a Programming Course at IDF - Mamram.
