Michael Peterson

Michael Peterson currently serves as Chief ESG Officer and Securities Counsel, Assistant General Counsel at Roper Technologies, Inc. since January 2020. Prior to this, Michael held various roles at Johnson Controls, including Vice President, Corporate Secretary & Associate General Counsel, and at Newell Brands, where responsibilities included Chief Securities Counsel and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. Michael's earlier career includes positions as Securities Counsel at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and as an Associate at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP and Squire, Sanders & Dempsey. Michael holds a JD in Law from Indiana University Bloomington, an MBA from SMU Cox School of Business, and a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
