Storytelling has always been a passion of mine. Whether it’s weaving a tale through short stories, novels, dungeon-mastering, or even out with friends at a social function, there’s nothing like a good story. That’s how I’ve found my interest and immersion in data visualization and reporting. Like unraveling a mystery, there’s so much information to be gleaned from even just a single, modest dataset. Though I’ve filled and succeeded in various roles throughout my career, they’ve all been oriented towards telling a story, big or small.

Data visualization and storytelling are the bread and butter of getting insights into your organization. Experience from Spotfire, Power BI, and Excel have enabled me to craft a tale unique to every question and inquiry, showing interested parties exactly what they need. Even with limited tooling such as ClickUp, management was able to get insight into exactly where thousands of clients across hundreds of projects were in their timelines, improving efficiency and decision-making.

They say a picture says a thousand words, and when it comes to capturing a story, nothing could be more true. From motorcycles, to cars, people, landscapes, and architecture, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing it all over the last eight years. Perhaps you’re redecorating, and are looking to have a specific vibe or theme captured. A collection of shots supporting a concept could be provided and printed, all following a consistent theme and visual.

Ink on paper is one of the simplest ways to convey an idea, but maintains a long journey towards mastery. My personal project is a high fantasy novel, but the practical application of my writing ability has been demonstrated through web copy writing, press releases, support articles, and more.
