Lee Collins has extensive work experience in the field of FPGA design and verification. Lee started their career in 1988 at Nortel Networks, where they worked as a Hardware Designer and Team Leader. In 1999, they were promoted to Manager Hardware Design. In 2000, they joined Alcatel as a Senior FPGA Designer, where they completed the design and verification of a fully SONET compliant OC12 line unit. Lee also implemented automation scripts for lab verification and regression testing. In 2006, Lee Collins moved to Nokia, where they held various roles as a Senior FPGA Design and Verification Engineer. Lee worked on projects related to IP Optical Networks, including statistics processing, FEC, and timestamping. Lee also led a team in implementing the System Level Vectoring Ethernet framing function in VDSL line cards. In 2020, Lee Collins joined Ross Video as a Senior FPGA Developer.
Lee Collins earned a Certificate of Applied Science in Science from Acadia University between 1983 and 1985. Following this, they attended the Technical University of Nova Scotia from 1985 to 1988 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
